This is a social circus club where adults and over 16′s can practice and train in a social environment. It is more than a juggling club as we offer mats for acrobatic practice and some static aerial equipment. There are in particular many very highly skilled adult jugglers who attend – so if you need passing practice it is a place to go.
If you are new to circus you are welcome, the Club will help you get started but you should note that it is not set-up as a beginner workshop with a teacher. There are juggling and manipulation toys to borrow. Aerial and acrobatics are not taught at Club Circus Central, and the facilities are only available to those who are already competent and independent in their practice. Aerialists should note that the static kit is rigged at a very low height, but by January 2012 we should have our new Rig installed – this will include Chinese Poles.
The club is open to under 16′s so long as they are accompanied by an adult and are focused on developing their skills. Club Circus Central is not suitable for very young children, sorry, as this is really set up as a chance for adults to play! We are going to develop a children’s circus soon.
