Explode!: onto the stage and into the market
A workshop by Brad Weston covering:

* Marketing
* How to get on Television
* Stage Craft
* Individual Coaching to Improve Your Act

Learn how to make money as a variety artist, where the work is and how to get it. Stage craft will focus on the energy quality necessary to support comedy, and how to seem more natural on stage, not about saying funny lines, it's about how to 'be' funny. We will also work on techniques to intensify our charisma and become a larger presence on stage.
Every workshop attendee will get the chance to be individually coached on their act in a supportive environment. Bring a 3 to 6 minute piece and we will go over it moment by moment and discover where it can be tightened and intensified.
Be prepared to move, be supportive of each other, and take a lot of notes.

Brad Weston has appeared on many national and international television programs. He has made his living solely as a variety entertainer for over twenty years working in many different venues and disciplines. He has studied physical theater at Dell Arte, clown at Ringling Brothers Clown College, improv at Chicago's Second City, and mime with Marcel Marceau. His new book called "How to make Money in the Variety Arts" is due out this July.

Enrollment limited to 10 people. Pre-enrollment only $200. Cost goes up to $250 at the door if any spots are available.

This workshop leads up to the Boulder Juggling Festival, June 17th-19th. Limited crash space is available for the workshop and festival, contact smith.bekah@gmail.com for more information.
