#conditions - Forecast said warm, so I expected another hard day with moskitostrying to kill me in a common effort of stuffing and blocking my nose, ears, eyes and mouth, and expected weary form. But it were pretty good conditions, very few moskitos (guess due to meadow having been mown where I was) and not airless at all, almost agreeable in the shade, just sweaty, needing my wet towel a lot, not full fresh form.

9b flashing - 50 min.   Two times 7 gathers. Very few attempts on (upto once 4) rethrows. Got swiftly a few nice patterns in the air, though.

So ugly! Some of these patterns look really pretty, like 432 and 645, and some look really ugly, like 72727 and 50505.

I think that the patterns that are really pretty have good syncopation, and the patterns that are ugly are arrhythmic. When I juggle 'snake' type patterns (50505, 72727, etc...), I tend to cheat the timing to make the pattern easier. Next, I will collect data on the pattern 7070707 to test this hypothesis.

Still need to work on writing a small-talk post to present the data set.

I have been working on overheads a lot lately, and tried 5b overheads today. Some good runs, around 11 catches (I'll call that a PR and log in records).

After juggling a lot of 7b cascade the last two days, my arms were tired. After a few runs of 7b cascade I rage quit and threw the balls like an angry child. Probably should have skipped 7b. all together. Need more optimal training structure.

Got 8 rounds without much trouble, eventually managed to get 9.

10 rounds of 774 (didn't take very long).

3c basics, tricks - 25 min   4-5 attempts below 100 for doubles. 21, 30 triples. Two or three bad attempts on quadruple spins.
Trying single rounds from and back to cascade:
  441, 441423 - got single rounds, better with stronghand. Also a 441441 to collect.
  34530 - same, .. got it once on both sides, but weakhand with halves. No two rounds per run today.
  first time trying 552 from cascade in singles into 5-s as triples - got two or three ``valid attempts´´ into like four throws to drop(s).
3b 200gr, freestyle, misc - 38 min.
5 heavy balls, 200 gr casc - 5 min.
9b flashing - 27 min.   Three or four times 7 gathers. One 8 gathers with one ball caught pressed against the neck and one more in the other elcrook.   No rethrows.
5b 56752 - 20 min.   8th side full caught (not very "clean" last round). 6th and 7th sides to drop(s). Best clean was 6 sides, i think.   Did bend knees, instead standing straight, for a (needed) change, which seemed to work a bit.
7b casc - 120 min. ( lost a lot of time fighting moskitos with a) incense, b) alcoholic spray, c) a brailer, d) spray-spitting at those right in front my face, e) bluntly clapping them, f) not caring .. thinking "Ommm..." - nothing really worked - was near giving in?!! )   A pretty smooth 67, and a rather tensed 53 throws longest runs. Tried to get a 7 ball PR, failed @ 180ish. Some runs felt super solid though. Thinking about going back to russian style balls for endurance.

Did a 5 club drill where I started out by throwing one triple and then continuing in doubles. When doing this drill it is necessary to catch the first club before letting go of the fifth club.

5 heavy balls, 200 gr casc - ~5 min.
[changed to under bridge as grass is too high to easily find all balls in]
9b flashing - 22 min.   Tried to get into rethrows soon after getting my first 7 gathers. Best run was 6 rethrows into 6 gathers, which even with no control, just hammering everything up again, felt great, like a glimpse into running it; and there being nothing dropbound during like two-three-four throws with all balls in the air. Tried to confirm, but it hadn't been anything, I could seize. And a few more runs with 2-5 rethrows.
5b 56752 - 48 min.   Best run was 8 sides clean.
Thunder & lighting were ahead and the wind grew stronger, allowing for only a small pattern windshielded by my body:
5b fastest - ~15 min.   Got a 45 throws run.
When the rain and tempest came, the stronger wind was soon gone again, so I could proceed with my `king's discipline´ ..
7b casc - 135 min. ( partly with colder hands and balls that feel harder then, less squishy, then with vinyl-gloves for a while)   Got 49, 53, 47 throws longest runs. Nextbest a good lot 35-40 throws. (In spite little yield ..) Partly felt great, though, smooth, somewhat well controlled.   [ daily7b II: 53 ]

Working on creating a juggling dataset.

Creating a juggling dataset was my original goal, but it kinda morphed into this project: https://www.reddit.com/r/juggling/comments/6aa9ov/juggling_pattern_waveforms/

There was some interest in the data that I used to create the graphs on the video, which instilled hope in me that there is some interest in a juggling data set.

What is a juggling data set anyway?

* The data set consists of several clips of juggling (about 600 frames long each)
* Each clip of juggling has an associated .csv file that contains the locations of each ball in each frame.
* The data gets 'big' pretty fast. For a 10 second clip with 5 balls there are 5*10s*60fps = 3000 observations

Alongside juggling, I have also been training computer vision. I have created/learned to use some programs that can, with a little help, track the locations of the balls. Under optimal conditions, I can track with 100% accuracy fully automated. Under good conditions, I can track at 98% accuracy with 95% automation.

Optimizing the conditions before filming juggling is not difficult; have good lighting and a high degree of contrast between the balls and the other objects in the frame. It helps to use different brightly colored balls too.

Tracking 5 balls for 600 frames took me about 10 minutes. With this level of automation, it has become practical to start building a data set.
