Yeah, except in the beginning he kept coming closer to me so every time I had dropped he was suddenly so close that I barely had place for my clubs in front of me. First I just took a step back and continued, but eventually I had to tell him that I couldn't juggle when he was that close.

Stephen Meschke on Maria's log 2017-08-31
With 4 clubs, drunk people are actually less annoying than the wind.

No break .. just no internet. Will late log those days.

Jan Poolen on 7b_wizard's log 2017-08-25
Just saw that you took a break for a while. How did it effect your juggling?

7b_wizard on Lukedaviesss' log 2017-08-24
Hi. Impressing. Looks like new WR to me [ cf. http://juggle.wikia.com/wiki/978#World_records ]. Got it on tape?

Stephen Meschke on Stephen Meschke's log 2017-06-14
I know the siteswap, but the computer doesn't know the siteswap. Anyway, it seems that black and white graphs on a gray background are a little confusing anyway: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7QqDexrxSfwLXNndUdPckNLWk0

7b_wizard on Stephen Meschke's log 2017-06-14
For e.g. a 5b cascade, one could simply choose black & white (on e.g. grey background) alternating for "one hand" & "the other hand", the graph going then by hands throwing, not balls with a color thrown.

7b_wizard on Stephen Meschke's log 2017-06-14
Aren't the hands determined, once you know the siteswap and the hand that threw first .. and plotting the graph is not restricted to ball-colors.

Stephen Meschke on Stephen Meschke's log 2017-06-03
The y-coordinate can't be used to measure when a ball is caught. The peak of the y-coordinate is the ball's apex, and the trough of the y-coordinate is the lowest point the ball reaches. The catch takes place somewhere in between.

Orinoco on Stephen Meschke's log 2017-06-03
Any reason why you wouldn't choose to measure the y-coordinate change to count a catch? The 6 & 4 in 645 could theoretically have no horizontal movement.

Maria on Maria's log 2017-05-19
Well... For 3 ball cascade, sure. That rhythm is fine. However, I'm pretty sure that my 4b fountain is lower than my 4c fountain... And less consistent. So, well, when doing siteswaps it becomes tricky. But I guess it's really just that I don't juggle balls very often.

7b_wizard on Maria's log 2017-05-19
Also, not having to give spin on a ball makes it a different throw with different use of dwelltime.

7b_wizard on Maria's log 2017-05-19
Interesting. The physical height is just the same as that of the club's mass center (when catching with club's mass center right on hand's level). But there's not the handle (with the m.c. a good bit away) spinning into catchhand; but the ball (itself, with m.c.) falling into it.

James Hennigan on Stephen Meschke's log 2017-05-16
But this cannot happen in a 3b sync pattern like the box or the shower. In fact I think that any pair of throws which contains a number less than 4 (0, 2 or 2x) will not result in a quadruple point.

James Hennigan on Stephen Meschke's log 2017-05-16
I suspect that quadruple point appears during the exchange, where 2 balls go up together and 2 are coming down.

Stephen Meschke on Stephen Meschke's log 2017-05-12
Thanks. I am want to polish the presentation a little bit, and make some tutorials that explain how to make the graphs in a spreadsheet. I am excited about this and looking forward to the responses!

Orinoco on Stephen Meschke's log 2017-05-12
Never worry about potential audience size. My lower limit for the number of people who I think will be interested in something before I post is one! I think this is fascinating & I know several others think so too.

Maria on Maria's log 2017-04-27
No, I don't. I'll try that! Thanks!

Brook Roberts on Maria's log 2017-04-27
Do you slide down to the knob for zaps? I highly recommend it if you don't but it takes a while to get used to :)

.. and .. #glossary :o}

7b_wizard on Mike Moore's log 2017-03-27
I see. I'll ``rename´´ my rare ones to (single) "underarmpit bx" then.

Mike Moore on Mike Moore's log 2017-03-27
or sometimes in front of the body, so those throws do not have a height limit.

Mike Moore on Mike Moore's log 2017-03-27
Good question! That alerts me that I'll have to be very careful in execution to differentiate them from contortionist throws. The intention of underarm bx are thrown from behind the body such that they can't go higher than the armpit. Contortionist throws move the hand in-plane with...

7b_wizard on Mike Moore's log 2017-03-27
Aren't "underarmpit bx" (single \ half-) "contorsionist throws" ?

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2017-03-26
I don't think so - it also feels very 423 .. so not synch. Can't do that active 2 consistently yet, latest impression is: it feels ``piston´´ rather than synch.

Mike Moore on 7b_wizard's log 2017-03-26
Interesting! Do you keep the pattern synced through that? I've only tried "activating" the 2x before.

7b_wizard on 7b_wizard's log 2017-03-26
I'm thinking it 423, so the 2 is on the column ball (3 is crossing ball). Then, exactly, just a slight toss-up (did simply press that ball at first just for shift of focus those msecs, then `dared´slight tosses.)

Mike Moore on 7b_wizard's log 2017-03-26
For the "active 2", do you mean doing a little, in-place toss before throwing it over the pattern?

633 with 3s as reverse backcrosses sounds horrible. Please succeed so that no one else needs to...

Happy Birthday Maria.

Hahaha! Actually I was in Florida, so the sun was more of a problem!

Maria on Maria's log 2017-01-01
Rules of course saying that no drop can occur anywhere in the pattern until the club had gone from one end to the other. :)

Maria on Maria's log 2017-01-01
It was just a zigzag (two lines) pattern, each person except the ones on the ends feeding two others. It became quicker when we figured we should do 3-count (or 6-count on the ends) so that at each pass beat the "special" club actually was passed to the next person. First we did 2-count (or 4-count)

7b_wizard on Oscar Lindberg's log 2017-01-05
Oh, .. "outdoors" + "winter" + "Sweden high up north" .. Did you wear a cap?

7b_wizard on Maria's log 2017-01-01
Nice and sweet world record! :o) Was it a ring of passers and that 'king'-or-'rabbit'-prop wandering along the ring (or even across?) ?

James Hennigan on James Hennigan's log 2016-12-04
I was very relaxed because I new I could do it, it wasn't surprising. I have been getting lots of long runs of 7 recently so I knew it would happen soon. I was much happier when I recently broke my 6 ball record, which I might try to do again soon.

7b_wizard on James Hennigan's log 2016-12-04
When I got my over 70 catches, that I always wanted, it felt like any other PR, maybe a bit special. But goals like grow and I've been wanting more (control the pattern and not have lotsa fails anymore).

7b_wizard on James Hennigan's log 2016-12-04
"7b over 100 c" .. so strong! Congrats on this great & big achievement! :o) ... Did you freak out, or were you just satisfied \ relieved?

Stephen Meschke on Stephen Meschke's log 2016-11-18
Thanks, I cut up some drinking straws and put them between the balls. It works much better. Still have to glue it up.

7b_wizard on Stephen Meschke's log 2016-11-18
Maybe you can put 'sliders', short wooden sticks, between the balls - as spacers.

7b_wizard on Stephen Meschke's log 2016-11-14
Haha.Cool.

7b_wizard on James Hennigan's log 2016-11-13

Yes, I did mean to write that! Sure :) We did it in a sequence that I filmed a while ago (http://juggling.tv/14391 if you're interested) and it was a massive pain, because transitioning into it it was really easy to do the wrong thing, even though the juggling in
