Little Paul -

2000 Posts!

I've been holding back on posting for the last couple of days, because this is my 2000th post on small talk and I wanted to post something special.

So, here are the highlights of the first BoB Convention ("Bristols Other Bristol") from 1999 in the Winston Theatre at the University of Bristol:

Gregory with his club juggling

A very youthful looking Robin Gunney with his 3 ball routine

Rob doing some contact juggling

Tommy Baker and his basketballs

Ian Rings

Ben Beever & Hairy globall passing

Owen & Malte Club Passing (they were at Circomedia at the time)

Jamie Fletcher

I've got more, but juggling.tv won't let me upload it all in one go - possible followup post tomorrow when it's finished chewing on what I've given it to deal with (some of the above may still be encoding...)

Oh, and if anyone can flesh out some of the names - that might be nice.

Dave (The bastard) and Anton only read out first names.

Rob Whittall.
Thanks for these. I look forward to watching them (I missed BoB1) when they've had their 10 minutes at gas mark 5.

Congratulations on achieving this millstone!

May I reward you with a hashtag #BoB1

Do you think there is any chance of a return of BoB? (or will it have to change its name as it would now be Bristols only Bristol?)

I don't really have much to do with the university juggling club so I don't know, but it's very much up to whatever each years students want to achieve.

I wouldn't rule it out completely, but I wouldn't confidently rule it in either :)

Congrats LP, it wasn't your birthday, it was your 2000th post.

Thanks for the vids. Still working my way through, but so far I have enjoyed Tommy Baker's basketballs a lot. I don't think I've ever seen force-bouncing done with basketballs before, as opposed to dribbling tricks. Once you see it you just think "of course!", and both patterns looked really good.
(I'm betting David Cain will know someone who does it - Bob Nickerson maybe?...)

Yes, I've seen a number of people force bounce basketballs.
