Voting on Top 40 Jugglers of the Year has opened: https://youtu.be/sGF6Qlr9Xq4
I'd be surprised if anyone wasn't subscribed to Luke already, but just in case, thought I'd make sure no-one misses out.

Prepare to be surprised... I'm not subscribed to Luke

varkor - - Parent

Gosh, I'm glad I was sitting down when I read that.

Orinoco - - Parent

I hope you've got a stiff drink at the ready...

I'm not subscribed to *any* YouTube channels!!

Question for you: how do you feel when someone always posts videos they upload to juggling forums/subreddtis/newspages/etc (and do so frequently)?

As someone with a well-stocked subscritpion list, it annoys me: if I wanted to see all of your videos, I'd subscribe to your channel. And if I'm subscribed to your channel, I don't want to see you post your video in five other juggling places. If I didn't subscribe to people on Youtube, I might feel differently.

Norbi - - Parent

Unfortunately (?) promotion is the key to being seen.
Also it depends on how many subscriptions you have. I'm subscribed to a ton of jugglers, various sciency channels, gaming stuff, other circus, skating, video/photography, etc. It happens very often that I miss a video coming out, because I open YouTube to find a list of 20 new videos in the last 24 hours.

Also to reply with a question... what if that person uploads more often to somewhere like Vimeo, do they have more/less of a right to share everywhere?

For me this one's a matter of reading the room. If Norbi makes a new video, I hope he posts it in here (or anywhere else) because I want to be sure I see it. Partly because the videos are good, partly because he's already a part of the community so it doesn't feel like some kind of drive-by, and partly because it doesn't happen every damn day. The fact that people comment on the videos and say nice things is probably a hint that it's fine.

Someone who we don't know who just arrives and dumps their videos and leaves is going to have to leave us some pretty fantastic videos or else I'll be annoyed for one.

This. If someone is taking an active part in the community where they post the video, joins in conversation etc they can post as many videos as they like in my book.

If someone drops and runs[1] I'll probably not watch it.

I don't really have a problem with lots of people posting the same videos everywhere really, it's not like they auto-play and I'm forced to sit there watching. If I see the preview still several times in several places it's not the end of the world.

[1] Which makes me think, has Lucas stopped posting videos here? Or did I finally stick him on ignore and forget?

Daniel Simu - - Parent

I think Lucas has finally found his audience, so the need to spam all the pages and fora is gone. His videos are still getting better :)

This'll be the first time I vote for Luke! His top 40 announcement videos for 2013 were so wonderful. Other new entries on my list include David Cain and the Koutas (Oohashi and Hayahsi).

I'd like to vote for Julius, but I don't know his last name. Help? (assuming he's okay with having his last name posted here and on the Youtube video).

Having trouble narrowing it down from a list of ~15 right now.

I believe it's Caesar.

I met him recently at a convention where he came, he saw, and he suggested I get my coat.

emilyw - - Parent

That guy's a pretty fast mover!

New votes from me go to Iver and Eivind. Both flashed 8 clubs at the EJC as well as other big numbers feats, which I tend to find impressive.
