Ra-Ra Zoo - documentary/promo thing I found on an old VHS Void lent me.

I'm struggling to date it. I think it's pre-1992 as it appears to feature Sean Gandini (There can't have been that many numbers jugglers with big hair around at the time, so I'm pretty sure it's Sean), and he left in '92 to form the Gandini Juggling Project with Kati Ylä-Hokkala

Some old faces there.
I actually didn't know Sean Gandini was in Ra Ra Zoo but it sure looks like him.
Sue Broadway always seemed to be the creative engine. AFAIK she was still an important figure in UK new circus quite recently, and probably still is.
Dave Spathaky was the one-time plate spinning numbers world-record holder but bust his ankle falling off a step-ladder in about '90, which put all kinds of kibosh on his performing career. He may have appeared briefly on stage in the EJC '88 public show, or another show of that vintage.
The muscular and gurning acrobatic lunatic is Mark Digby, he was a tutor of mine at Fool Time in '91 and I'm pretty sure he'd left Ra Ra Zoo by then and formed Le La Les sometime thereafter. And by lunatic, I mean lunatic - he had a pretty severe couple of years in the late 90s when he pretty much lost the plot, and then I met him unexpectedly when he turned up at Bristol Convention in around 2000.
Fucksocks, when did my youth become so distant?
Yes, it's Sean Gandini. He's in the credits, and I recognize him from an instructional video that Max Oddball released in the 1980s called The Ultimate Ball Video. There's a short interview with Sean on it, which I've uploaded to JTV in case anyone needs a fix from the past... (Mr Lackpot?)

Awesome. I googled "Ultimate Ball Video" without any luck - well, actually I got lots of results for what seems to be a cage-fighting game, but that wasn't really what I was looking for. Didn't think to google "Ultimate Ball DVD" d'oh!
Should I pull the clip, do you think?
I have Oddball connections. I don't think they'll mind too much. Leave it for now, and JTV can take it down if they do.

Thanks dobby. I see your youthful Sean and raise you my youthful Sean :-

And yes, I still have the item gathering dust in the office, complete with four - four! Read it and weep, suckers! - juggling balls and IIRC a minuscule pamphlet detailing the necessary steps to take to achieve international juggling stardom.

Splendid innit? :D
Without going to dig the bloody thing out I'm not sure, but I'd guess late 90s/early 00s. I found my copy in a charidee shop for a couple of quid I think. Thrift shop gold!
