Clubs that you currently own?
I can only juggle four clubs but I own sixteen:
- 3 flare one piece super spins ( glow in the dark ) these were the clubs I learnt with years and years ago
- 4 yellow juggle dreams with silver wrapped handles, which are now falling apart as they were used to learn four clubs
- 3 green mr babche
- 6 white and black Henry delphins which i use for everything now and are awesome for passing.
Ps. anyone going to Glastonbury? Il be there with my clubs so bring yours.
I own at least 250-300 clubs, including at least 150 different types.

I own 0 clubs.
I can juggle 4 clubs, I can pass 7 with another passer who is at about the same level as me.
I own 11 clubs:
- My first clubs, I think they are MrBabache, has some cracks in the handles that make them a bit uncomfortable to juggle. Not using them any more.
- 3 blue Delphins, I use them for indoor juggling at home (so I don't need to un-pack my juggling bag) and when I want to bring extra clubs for passing or as spares.
- 5 purple Delphins, my main clubs right now. They need some repairs soon, the rubber top fell off from one recently, one feels a bit unstable (like if the screws were loose bute they are not) and one more was close to losing the rubber top this weekend. Might have to let Henry's take care of them at EJC, maybe juggle mixed purple and blue clubs until then.

I've downsized somewhat, and I think I'm currently down to:
- 7 delphins
- 6 freaks acrobats
- 3 beard circus specials
- 5ish very broken renegade 95's which I promised Colin E I would fix and then pass on to a deserving cause about 8 years ago
Technically I do still own at least 3 fire torches and "some" knives, but I have no idea where they are. I last saw them in my parents garage.
I'm considering selling the delphins to fund the purchase of a smaller number of clubs that are closer to my taste.
They're white body/white handle, barely used, they have good heritage (I bought them off Jon Udry a few years back) - I'll probably take them all to Crawley, if anyone wants them I'll do them for offers around £60 the set.

Hahaha, too feckin' many :-
Orinoco, is there a secret code for posts in pissing contest mode?
Spotlight Flares... were those the ones that you inserted a big sparkler into a metal cage body? Awesomeness!
mike.armstrong - - Parent #
Weren't the sparkler ones by Henry's?
I really hope he didn't mean Beard Flares, though they did deserve the "<shudder>"
Little Paul - - Parent #
The sparkler ones are indeed Henry's

What no beard beach?
What are Vipas? I'd love to see pics of the hand-built cork, wood, and fabric mini clubs.

Vipa was a small juggling manufacturer set up by H (who founded Beard) after he quit/left/was-forced-out-of (delete depending on whose story you believe the most) Beard.
See https://www.juggling.org/bin/news2html/1999/01/21-102448 (and other articles in that thread)
Archive.org doesn't have much of their website, but what it does have says this:
Vipa Launch 3 World Firsts!
At the 12th British Juggling Convention in Durham, Vipa were proud to annouce three world firsts in the Juggling industry.
The first modular club system, which allows the juggler to have exactly the weight and spin they need.
The first variable spin devilstick
The first juggling knife with the weight and spin of a club
I don't know what Mr Lackpot has, but I would imagine it's most likely to be the knives as I don't think anyone actually bought any of the modular clubs.
NB This is a different modular club system to the Passe Passe one (which used threaded bits of camembert to hold the bits together)

If my memory of the rumours is correct then Vipa was nominally set up run by Loz (H's son) as there was some kind of clause somewhere preventing H from competing directly with Beard for some time after he left.

That sounds very familiar.

The Vipas were part of a job lot of assorted juggling and other stuff I mistakenly bought off eBay whilst squiffy one night. They are non-modular European-style clubs of rather good construction and still in very good condition. At least I think they are Vipas, I had no idea whatsoever until I showed them to Void who came to that conclusion after a little head scratching.
If I ever find the time I'll dig the Vipas out along with the cork specials and provide David with a much-needed hit of clubpr0n.
