I just picked that up on the interwebs a few minutes ago. Terrible news, and one wonders if there is more to it than meets the eye.
I hung out with Ashton a bit years ago at Bristol, then watched him grow and get fit as he attended Circomedia. He was perhaps the kind of character of whom one might not be so surprised by such a happenstance, but that really, really sucks as a bad end to a short life, both for him and his poor family.

From what I've heard, it sounds accidental. Possibly a misjudged fire breathe that went wrong (although that appears to be pure conjecture, take it with a pinch of the proverbial)
It's a nasty way to go, and a terrible thing for his friends and family to be dealing with.

Someone posted a different story on Facebook that I don't want to repeat yet because I find it hard to believe.
Did he perform in BYJOTY one year? I remember the name but not the face.

He performed in BYJotY in 2011 in Nottingham. He seemed like a nice chap from the interaction I had with him during that period.
I also heard a different story on Facebook. From the evidence I've read in the news it seems consistent, but I'm not going to perpetuate rumour. I'm just shocked and sad right now.
