Hey guys, I need some numbers juggling balls (I use Norwiks usually) that are very light, and I've seen the juggle dream mini uglies, I was wondering does anyone know the exact weight of these? Because I don't want anything over 70g, I'm too weak :P

What did Oddballs say when you asked them? https://www.oddballs.co.uk/juggle-dream-mini-uglies-juggling-balls-p-4445.html

I didn't ask... I assumed that if they didn't put down the weight that they didn't know it. I guess I'll ask though.

One of my pet peeves: vendor pages that do not include crucial information about their products. Excluding size and weight seems ridiculous to me!

That's exactly what I thought; also on that note does anyone know a UK supplier of ragbags? They seem to be the only other people with brains that actually realize launching 10 120g beanbags is a bit strenuous...

If only those product pages were maintained by humans that you could contact and ask, or perhaps even suggest they add the missing detail.

Pity they're maintained by evil corporate robots

I'm recalling back when someone was advertising an (originally Spanish?) juggling social network, and Orin saying something like: stop ignoring the feedback you're getting here, because for everyone who suggests things, there are 100 who will leave without telling you the reason.

It made me step up my "this is why I am not staying/buying/subscribing/etc." game when I thought it would be useful to the other party. That said, it was much more time-consuming. Now I still do it more than I used to, but not exhaustively. If Oddballs were a place I'd reasonably order from (I live across the pond, so shipping prices make them uncompetitive for most things here) I may make that suggestion. I'm not going to go making requests/suggestions to places I see but don't do business with because that would involve too much time spent.

I stand by the idea that information on size and weight should be level 0 quality control for a posting on balls/beanbags. I'm surprised that a vendor as established as Oddballs didn't have this information.

I just weighted mine. The average is 72g, but they vary by up to 2g. Despite the small differences in weight I highly recommend them. I use them exclusively for numbers now. Rag bags are good too, but mine were getting a bit old and worn, Also, I think that the mini uglies are slightly rounder. The rag bags have a strange 6 panel triangle design. I prefer the 'mom's very best' from the bag lady as they're 8 panel and rounder.

There's no UK supplier of bag lady props. The bag lady is literally one lady in the US. Good beanbags at a low price, but shipping is expensive. The good thing about them though is that she'll make them to your specifications.

Thanks Peter! I'll go for mini uglies. I don't want to pay extortionately for postage... I'm not entirely sure what the previous posts meant exactly, I'm not sure if the hints were sarcasm or not etc, but if it clears things up the reason I don't usually phone up and find out is because I find invariably with larger vendors their call/help centre seems to just assume that you're incompetent enough to not be able to read a website description, and not actually have any information you didn't already know, thus proving entirely useless. Not aways but fom my experience.

I'm not sure if the hints were sarcasm

Internet pro-tip - if you're not sure if something is sarcastic, it's usually better to assume it is :)

That's not my experience at all. Which vendor have you dealt with that behaved like that? (genuine question, please name and shame them!)

Out of interest, can anyone think of any juggling vendors which are big enough to have dedicated call centre staff?

All the vendors/manufacturers I can think of in europe are small, and in all bar one case that I can think of (Beard) are run by jugglers - and even in the case of Beard, they've been around jugglers for long enough that they know how to deal with us.

Oddballs in particular is run by a very enthusiastic juggler, their shop staff are all jugglers, and I'd be very surprised if anyone who answered the phone there wasn't a juggler.

Ah right I see, I guess I haven't phoned any smaller vendors, they must be different. Places like Currys, banks and other big companies have been on the whole very unhelpful, friendly but clueless. Does Max Oddball run Oddballs then? I've seen his bounce juggling, it's very good. I've ordered them now so it's all good :)
