Reminded me that the rope company that I work for made a special rope for Freddy Nock (Swiss tightrope walker, who walks up a lot of cable car wires) at the beginning of last year. If I remember rightly it was 2000m long 22mm diameter & was to break the world record for longest distance tightrope walk. He was hoping to walk across a lake somewhere in South America but it didn't go ahead because the conditions weren't right at the time he was granted permission.

I don't know about that, but Tom Baker is apparently a big fan of Freddie and in an interview back in the 90s he said that he wouldn't hear a bad word said about the wire walker in his presence.
