Small Talk

If it's a bit quiet today that may be because everyone is at MadSkillz Vancouver 2013, IADF or Mirabilia.

Back to Small Talk

I can't remember what I was looking for which led me to this routine, but I was very impressed with it.

Partly because it's done oldskool style with real vinyl (no serrato/traktor with a bunch of samples on a laptop) and with real cue point stickers, partly because it has a pretty high skill level - but mainly because his timing is nice and tight and doesn't drift all over the shop like some DJs do!

I've never watched a scratch performance from above before. I still find it difficult to really work out what he is actually doing but I can appreciate the difficulty as there is an awful lot that could go wrong very easily (stylus in the wrong place, can't get the next record on in time etc.) but I didn't notice anything out of place.

wow, very nice. Indeed some classic old's cool skill.
Here a little scratch video I like - good skills but more importantly, solid editing.
