After turning the ring to face sideways (standing with one foot in front of the other makes a big difference in this orientation) I managed to successfully throw a ball through the ring & keep the spin going.

Tried the larger ring which I found to be more manageable, required a slower spin so keeping the rhythm was easier. Found it useful to take that little bit longer placing the pole on the chin to ensure it was dead centre.

Had a more concerted effort. I learnt to scoop the ball off the floor which was an efficient way to pick up & made practice more productive! Managed to get the start more consistent but the balance was still tricky, was tending to fall forwards & right. Need a wide deep stance to control the bounce. I tried a 3 club cascade while balancing but could only manage 3 catches.

Late night session. I tried throwing a ball through the ring mid balance. I managed the throw on the first attempt but was too surprised to keep the spin going.

My first attempt at using Jamie Fletcher's Salerno rings, found it very tricky. Getting it spinning was fine, but placing it on your face was difficult, keeping it going even more so. Only managed two respectable runs.
