This is a MadSkillz Vancouver event.
We are celebrating our 10th anniversary festival! The dates to Madskillz X are August 16 & 17 at the Roundhouse community centre in downtown Vancouver. As this is a special milestone, we are bringing the festival to a centralized location with the intention of exposing more Vancouverites to the joy of Madskillz!
If you never been to a Maskillz festival, here's what happens!
- Over 30 hoop/poi/juggling/staff/clown/kendama workshops
- Gala show presenting the best talents around our neighbourhood and a sprinkle of couple special guests,
- Renegade Show, an anything goes show presented by you and the rest of the attendees
- Open gym, a space to practice, socialize, and share new ideas!
- Prop battle, a silly dance off using our props inspired by the dance battles
This year we are also teaming up with the annual kendama event Van Jam, hosted by Terra Kendama. Van Jam is in their 6th year and the event focuses on fun and friends. More cross pollination of our object manipulation community and double the fun!
What happens at Van Jam?
- Van Jam Am & Pro Divisions, a tournament to see who is on point with their kendama on the day of the event
- Kendama Freestyle Invitational, top select dama player's exhibition kendama freestyle battle
- Damablitz Contest, a speed trial kendama trick off
