Istotą Carnavalu jest ZABAWA.
Zabawie od zawsze towarzyszy sztuka ludyczna. Poprzez jej aktualne przejawy – nowy cyrk i buskerstwo – otworzymy czas wspólnego święta. KARNAWAŁ to okres, kiedy zwyczajowe prawa codzienności są zawieszane, a cały społeczny i kulturowy porządek ulega wywróceniu. Tak jak kuglarz (czy też artysta) jest synonimem odmieńca, cudaka i wyrzutka, tak czas karnawału jest synonimem czasu święta, zniesienia praw, obowiązków, norm.
Namioty eksplodują teatrem nowego cyrku. Objawią świat, w którym sztuka staje się jednością, a bariery i podziały na teatr, cyrk, żonglerkę, taniec czy muzykę przestają istnieć w obrazie artystów totalnych. Ulice spłyną strachem, podnieceniem i śmiechem z naszej codziennej spętanej kultury. To wszystko za sprawą buskerów z całym im właściwym anturażem. Będzie śmieszno i straszno, w sercu ckliwie, a w głowie czasem niewygodnie.

The essence of Carnaval is FUN. Fun has always been accompanied by ludic art. And we use its new manifestations – new circus and busking – to open a time of shared celebration.
Carnaval is a time when everyday laws are suspended and the entire customary social and cultural order is turned upside down. Just as a juggler (or performer) is synonymous with an outsider, a freak and an outcast, Carnaval is synonymous with celebration, the abolition of laws, duties, and norms.
Explosive new circus acts fill the tents, showing a world where theatre, juggling, dancing, and music become one art form, without borders or divisions. Street performers and their entourage keep things exciting in the streets, making people cower in fear or laugh at our everyday, shackled reality. Expect laughter and horror, a touch of sentimentality but also intellectual discomfort.
